How we measure
Every box is stored with its outer width, depth and height, as in the picture. We ignore inner dimensions and volume. The question we answer is "will this container fit in my space", not "what fits in the container".
Width and depth are interchangeable
You can turn a box around, so we never make you choose which side faces out. A search for 30 wide and 40 deep also returns boxes that are 40 wide and 30 deep.
When a box is not a box
Square containers are easy: these three have the dimensions you would expect.
Baskets, tapered bins and lids that stick out are harder. For those we use the largest measurement in each direction, because that is what decides whether it fits.
Where the details are
Every result links to the retailer's own page, which has the price, colours, stock and more photos. We show the size and the name; the retailer has the rest.
